After more than 30 years at our facility on Arlington Avenue in Raytown, Electrical Corporation of America is making a significant move.
We’ve purchased and are currently renovating a new headquarters at 5200 W. 110th St. in Overland Park, Kansas, located near Interstate 435 and Nall Avenue. We expect to be fully operational in the new space by mid-2026. The move triples our local footprint from approximately 17,000 square feet to approximately 52,000 square feet, and it reflects exactly where ECA stands today as a growing company.
The Numbers Tell the Story
ECA reported $315 million in local billing in 2025. In 2026, we are on track to exceed $525 million in revenue — a roughly 67% increase year-over-year. That kind of momentum doesn’t go unaccommodated.
“Year after year, we found ways to expand and adapt within our current space,” said Mike Moles, COO. “We’ve built it out in every direction we could. The reality is that our growth has outpaced what any renovation of that building could realistically support. Moving into a space that matches our size and our ambitions was the natural next step.”
That growth has been intentional and diversified. We’ve expanded across industrial, commercial, utility, automotive, food & beverage and mission-critical sectors, such as data centers. But no single vertical has carried the load. Broad-based expansion across every area of our business is what got us here, and we expect that approach to carry us forward.
A Foundation Built on Strategic Moves
This headquarters announcement is the latest in a series of strategic decisions ECA has made over the past several years. In 2022, we transitioned to an employee stock-ownership plan (ESOP), aligning the long-term success of the company directly with the people who are responsible for its growth and success every day. In 2023, we acquired Heartland Electric, adding capabilities and capacity that have contributed to our continued momentum.
The new facility, which we’re renovating in partnership with Luke Draily Construction, is being designed from the ground up around how we actually work. That means five conference rooms, four dedicated team rooms, open collaboration spaces, a cafeteria, and employee amenities including a golf simulator lounge and an on-site gym.
Before the first wall went up, we surveyed our employees about what they wanted in a new space. The result is a building designed around the people who show up and get the work done.
What Comes Next
ECA has been working on complex electrical projects nationwide since 1970. We’ve grown steadily for decades and rapidly in recent years, with 20 new hires added to the team in 2025. As we settle into our new Overland Park headquarters, we’re planning to continue that trajectory as we scale our operations to match demand.
The new space isn’t just a reflection of where we’ve been, it’s also infrastructure for where we’re going. More room to collaborate. More capacity to serve clients across every sector we operate in. And more room to bring the right people on board.
